Also thought I'd show you my candle and flowers from my Christmas Day table.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I'm having a rare lazy Sunday afternoon! I have put my decorations up (last weekend) The earliest I've ever done them! I've just had a pot of tea using my Christmas china and I am posting a few shots of my Christmas decorations
. I have also made my Mary Berry Christmas cake and set up LA BOHEME in a Christmas display.I'm off work tomorrow so will be writing cards and pottering in my sewing room,it needs a tidy up!!
Last night we went to the Derby playhouse to see a Christmas Carol,it was very good and quite unusual
.I made the wreath myself,so I am very pleased that I kept my New Year resolution to learn to crotchet!! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.xxx

LIBERTY IN LONDON!

How are you on this lovely November evening? Yesterday I went shopping in London with two of my sisters and our mum.We had a perfect day, visited Liberty,Selfridges(how I Wished it would have been like the store in the T.V drama, but sadly not!) Harrods,John Lewis and Butler and Wilson. Liberty was THE BEST for me it retained an old world charm and the building was FAB U LOUS darling ( said in a Craig Revell Horwood voice!!)  I purchase some little gifts and a lovely piece of fabric pictures to follow................

Please don't look too closely at my window sill,it's filthy!! Not like the old days when we washed our door step and windowsills weekly or daily if you were very houseproud!!!

POPPING BACK!

Good Afternoon,I'm back from LA BOHEME resting my back, yes I overdid things and now paying the price! Having to sit upright on the settee with a cushion behind my poor aching back!!Still I get to write this, I realised on my missive this morning I over used the word "pop"! So I will refrain from said word this afternoon.  Anyway, I re-
arranged a lot of my things to try and create a more interesting space, I am fairly pleased with what I achieved and here are a few pictures for you to peruse should you wish to do so having read your way through my ramblings!!

BACK PAIN ADVANTAGES!!

Good Morning! It's a beautiful day here in Derbyshire,if you get chance please pop along to OLYMPIA ANTIQUES AND VINTAGE in CHESTERFIELD.I am popping more stock into LA BOHEME today.Doing it very carefully because my back is still causing me problems! But being away from my paid job has advantages that I get to spend more time crafting!I've been knitting little hats for AGE UK.We send them all off to be popped onto INNOCENT SMOOTHIE bottles and for each one sold the charity gets 25p towards the campaign to keep older people warm in winter.I have knitted about 25 so far!If you want the pattern please download it from www.ageuk.org  I have been inspired today by Nikki over at NOSTALGIA AT THE STONEHOUSE, her shop is simply delightful full of beautifully arranged things, pop over you won't be disappointed! Went over ot LONGSHAW hall the other day and they had a BEAUTIFUL kitchen garden...................

SKIP FIND SOLD!!!

Good Evening, went to LA BOHEME last week and to my delight the little table that I skip dipped for has sold!!I painted it in ANNIE SLOAN old white. It feels so good to think that something headed for the tip has found a new home wearing a new coat! It's pleasing to know that someone likes my work enough to buy it!! Also sold some of my Lavender bags that I made using the SARAH MOORE "recipe!"and some little Lavender handbag sa
chets that I made. It's very encouraging to see things sell that I have made as I really don't consider myself very clever at crafting!Oh nearly forgot also sold a cushion that I made from an old blouse that was heading for the rag bag! I am off work at present because I injured my back and knee in a fall at work,so have more time on my hands to do creative things.I have moved my sewing room downstairs so I don't have to keep traipsing up stairs to do stuff,it's slightly bigger so it's now crammed full of "stuff" including my sister in laws sewing table that I am looking after while she moves house! I keep scouring charity shops etc for bits of sewing paraphnelia,I got a bag of little remnants the other day and a large piece of fabric to use as cushion backing for just £4! I'll close here because I can hear someone yawning!!TTFN.
