MAKING!

Good evening my dears,I have a few days off work,it's been lovely pottering about sewing and painting.I went skip dipping in the rain the other day and got a wooden table,a large mirror and two heavy terracotta plant pots!! I painted the table in Annie Sloan old white and the mirror too.The table went to La Boheme this

afternoon along with some sewing bits and bobs.I think I will keep the pots as they look rather good outside my kitchen door! I made some cushions for my garden bench, that I have put in my kitchen, as I think it will get used more there! It just needs  painting but that will have to wait until after my annual jaunt to Lanzorote, we leave next Thursday for 2 weeks hooray!! I have a pile of books to read,but I will miss my little sewing room,even though I'm not very good at sewing yet but I SHALL persevere!! I made Lavender bags, a la Sarah Moore, hopefully they will sell and give me confidence in my abilities!! I just need to slow down and not rush things eager to see the finished result and therefore not as neat as they could be!!! I did put zips in two of the cushions and though a bit wonky not too horrendous for my 1st go I thought!! Also purchased a gorgeous embroidered tablecloth,butterflies and flowers,a bit pricey at £8 from a charity shop,so will have to keep it for myself as I couldn't sell for a profit! Well I'll say ttfn and catch up with all of you after my hols!
